Don Walsh has been competing in open-water races for the past 25 years. He's raced in rivers, bays, and in both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, at distances from one mile up to 28.5 miles (swimming around Manhattan Island).

Don has competed in various weather conditions, including storm surf and bitter cold water, and has even duked it out with an occasional ocean liner or two.

Don has conducted swim clinics across the country for the past eight years, working with high school swimmers, college swimmers, and adult triathletes. These swim clinics have included both classroom and pool instruction, with video analysis of each student. He's also had the privilege of conducting clinics for some very elite branches of the military.

Don has coached swim teams at the USA, high school, and college levels. He currently teaches private lessons at The Atlantic Club in Wall Township, New Jersey.

Don is ready, willing, and able to help the Masters, triathletes, and open-water swimmers on this site, . If you would like to contact Don directly, you can e-mail him at jerseysolo@yahoo.com
