On the one hand it looks impressing, but on the other hand it looks strange for me. Probably he will have serious knee problems in some years. That's the price of high-end sports. I would not want to change with him.

I like the technique - chest up back down, but is he a bit too far underwater?

Responded May 26, 2006 10:22AM

I doubt this will lead to serious knee problems later. Aaron's built that way. Not all high-end sports lead to long term injuries.

Is the glowing light at the end of that lane for the camera? Obviously, it's an unimportant and silly question, but, hey, it's Friday.

Nah. I wish we were important enough at the U of Texas to control the lights. :) Those lights are around the entire pool... it's very cool when they're all on.

beautiful streamline

Well, in my humble opinion his ankles are a little bit stiff for the caliber of swimmer that he is. The most beautiful (and I think perfect) backward dolphin kick that I have ever seen is that one of Kaitlin Sandeno...and she has such flexible and floppy ankles that they act like fins.

Is Aaron going to be the star of the next Go Swim DVD?

Responded May 26, 2006 08:29PM

Yea I think glenn let that one outa the bag a while ago. But isnt it getting more and more obvious with him being hte subject of lots of the pictures! Heh I can't wait, It'll be interesting since aaron has such great techniques and flexability.

Responded May 26, 2006 10:11PM

Aaron's streamline here is pretty awesome. I'm looking forward to the new backstroke DVD. I'm sure it will contain drills and techniques to improve my own backstroke.

Nice positioning, pushoff from the wall, and streamline

Responded May 29, 2006 02:02AM

I think that comment on his ankles is wrong , the picture makes it look like they're stiff , but from how i've seen him swim , i'm sure they're just as flexible's as Sandeno

How many dolphin kicks does he take to get to the 15m mark and how fast can he make it there?
