Added a little bit of weight training for the upper body -- assisted pullups and dips and some stretch cord.

Technique improvement. It is the biggest return on investment and you do not loose the skill developed in two weeks.

Allowing myself to just "let it run" and not hold back. I was always afraid to go out too fast and die. Sometimes this even translated to sprint events. So, when I finally just quit worrying and went after it, my speed was there.

Happened actually just the other day. I was swimming with my swimmers, and did a really fast 100 from a push. I think it was the fins and paddles, but I was kinda hoping I didn't have to mention those.
