Swimming Set of the Week - November 25, 2008

Two IM sets.  One from Glenn, one from Barbara.  Go get 'em.

Glenn's set:
1 X 400 IM, swum as 16 X 25 IM order once through.
10 pushups after each 25.

Barbara's set:
FRIM = IM, substituting free for fly.
Descend time coming down the pyramid.

1 X 100 FRIM on :15 RI

1 X 200 FRIM on :30 RI

1 X 300 FRIM on :45 RI

1 X 400 FRIM on :60 RI

1 X 300 FRIM on :45 RI

1 X 200 FRIM on :30 RI

1 X 100 FRIM on :15 RI

Good set. Barbara's set can also be done with the fly portion as fly/free per 25 or all fly as a kick/swim.

Something is wrong with the post, somehow it cut the rest of Glenn's set off.

I'm pretty sure there were supposed to be 10 X 800's thrown in there somewhere.

shall I guess? IM instead of FRIM for butterfly simmers and FRIM for everybody else?!

is there any break between each 25 and pushups for a 10 years old kid?

The idea of the push up IM is that there is no break at all... it's continuous. However, you can vary the number of push ups, as well as not do them at all... just climb out at each end. It's a pretty tough 400 IM, so be careful how young you "allow" kids to do this. ;)
