We've started using this board for a few months now,. And it interesting on how it naturally encourages the swimmer into a natural streamlined position,..making the "social kick"..a bit more uncomfortable! ;-) As the video points out, the size makes for a natural extension of the hand,.providing just enough buoyancy, yet can be managed underwater easily. Try it,. You'll like it! |

I am hoping you can answer a question about another Finis product the zoomer fins. My 9 year old son is a great breaststroker (like his mom ; ) and has these flat Fred Flintstone feet that do not kick very well in freestyle! He is a good butterflier, but he has to remind himself to keep his toes down in his dolphin and flutter kicks. Would the zoomer fins help him in practice? He gets very frustrated as the freestylers go flying by him. I use the drills here in all of my practices (I coach as well) and when he and I swim at the pool together. Thank you for a great site! |

My favorite all around fin is the PDF fin by Finis. It's a solid fin that can also be used for his breaststroke. It has a bit wider blade which should help him point his toes a bit as well. The zoomers are great training fins, but probably aren't going to give him the push he needs to keep up with the other guys. Remember to use code "goswim" when ordering and save 10% :) |
