Great Turtle Race 2009

How can you not want to follow along with this one.  It's racing in the water... without motors... fully tracked by satellite-tracking.

Thanks to Paul for the alert, and it's great to see Olympic swimmers really getting involved.  Just like Aaron and his Race for the Oceans, Amanda Beard, Janet Evans, Jason Lezak and Eric Shanteau are all working for this cause.

LOL... I was betting on Seabiscuit. He's last. I still have faith, he's gonna be a late charger.

Indeed, I thought about Seabiscuit as well. But Searcher is one of the smallest and less experienced one. She needs support! :)

oh no, the little one is obviously quite curious and makes a detour through the half of the ocean...

They're all over the place now. Seabiscuit is catching up though. :)

Thanks Glenn, this is a great cause and worth a donation for all of us GoSwimmers.

My money is on REM's Nightswimmer!

My turtle is still on a shopping tour, haha. What's going on with Seabisquit, Glenn? It looks like its turning back... the tail points to the finish, not the head... or does it swim backwards now?!

Responded Apr 23, 2009 10:55AM

LOL... he's going back for Searcher!

Responded Apr 23, 2009 12:21PM

Pew, finally, a rescue team...

Responded Apr 28, 2009 01:30PM
