Blueseventy AXIS is here!

Posted by Glenn Mills on May 18, 2010 09:29AM (3,015 views)

Many of you know what a tech geek I am, and in reading many techy sites, there is a practice known as "unboxing."  This is where someone is the FIRST to get a new product, and takes pictures of the arrival of the shipment from UPS, and every step they go through to get to the product.

While I've never really understood the excitement of showing all those steps, when my Blueseventy AXIS wetsuit showed up yesterday, I started to get a little better idea.

With my new-found friend, "open-water" swimming, and my old friend, "the love of tech," this was the perfect combination.  What follows is my excited "unboxing" of my new wetsuit.

Hi Glenn ... What water/air temperature ranges is this suit for? ... How many $$$? ... Why did you choose it? ... Al

Real swimming wetsuits have many variations in thicknesses... this is a fantastic example of that. I wanted some buoyancy, as well as the ability to move freely. I also have chosen a full-sleeve based on the recommendation of Sara McLarty on her video. Blueseventy is my manufacturer of choice due to the high quality of products I've used in the past. Click on the link above for pricing, as it can vary. The temp will vary by person and situation.

It's just AXIS... of course... when you put me in it, THEN it becomes "design" AXIS. You KNOW I'm kidding right? You're still the KING of design Mr. Alpha Fin! :)

Pure awesomeness!!! Reminds me on myself when I received my swim wetsuit. Kind of brings you back to your childhood, at Christmas day to be particular ;) The next step might be to bring it to the pool if there are no open waters nearby and try it on for 5-10min...just for the joy of fun haha.
