Pretty expensive gear when I'm shooting the Olympians. Most of the cams listed on the eval page will do a really nice job for most.
No scuba... can't take any chances with bubbles and can you imaging trying to chase down Jason Lezak while dragging scuba tanks on my back? Here's an old Pic of the Week we posted back in July. One of my Navy swimmers shot a picture of me filming Fran Crippen. I'm so glad I have this, but it will give some insight on what I do. The swim equipment is usually a suit, fins, and nose plugs. That's about it:
