Olympian Roy Burch - Endless Pool

Posted by Glenn Mills on Jun 05, 2012 07:09PM (5,933 views)

Bermuda Olympic sprinter, Roy Burch, stopped by the Endless Pool Elite while at the Santa Clara International Grand Prix last week.

Roy trains with Team Elite at Mecklemburg Aquatic Club in Charlotte, NC, and has qualified to compete in London later this summer.  He also does his part to support fellow athletes with his business www.wondereffect.com.  We had a great time watching Roy warm-up and down in the Endless Pool, and figured we'd do what we could to also support his effort.

Here's a short video to show how he got himself moving while in Santa Clara.  You can also follow Roy on Twitter, and pick up a t-shirt to directly support an Olympic dream.

Got some bikini babes hangin' out in the pool about 20 seconds in, eh?

Responded Jun 06, 2012 05:58PM

Probably more like incredible female athletes who happen to be training in two piece suits.

Ah, making their attendance far more appropriate than E3's booth babes.

Exactly. Booth babes would be shot out of the back of this thing. ;)

Since FINA 2009 World Championships in Rome I started to think that a "huge wave" of talented Caribbean swimmers was coming to reinvigorate this sport. I think we will sooner see the same kind of renewal which happened in the track and field world not long time ago. An epoch-making shift in the world of swimming! Thanks for sharing Glenn!

The producers of GoSwim's training videos should use some "incredible female athletes who happen to be training in two piece suits." They are sorely under-represented on this fine web site.

We'd have to include a "rating" system then. ;)

Any female athlete who works out or competes in a two piece suit automatically receives an "A" rating, regardless of any other factors.
