Swimming Set of the Week - July 6, 2012
This week's set keeps everyone on the same sendoff or turnaround...and challenges all levels of swimmers.
This week's set keeps everyone on the same sendoff or turnaround...and challenges all levels of swimmers.
This week's set asks you to tire the body with 100-125 yards of swim or kick, then climb out and dive in for a really FAST 25...then repeat.
Pace set this week, working on your ability to negative-split your swims.
Our set of the week is really four mini sets of 200 yards/meters each.
Training for LCM in a SCY pool -- backstroke and breaststroke sets.
Another mini set this week. Good one for taper and working turns and pulldowns.
Every swim coach needs an arsenal of mini sets...sets of 8 X 25...that can be inserted at any point during a practice to break things up.
Our set of the week is short, intense, and a chance to work on many things.
This week's set asks you to descend your swim time, but on as ascending sendoff.
Yesterday's main set was all about back-half swimming. Today's set continues that theme...but the entire main set requires a "back-half" strategy in order to achieve the goal of descending your times over the course of 1800 yards.
We are a group of swimmers who swim really fast, and like to help others learn how to reach their competitive potential in the area of professional swimming.
