There were a couple of good sets this morning, even if I did vary it a bit to keep up.

I do enjoy Wednesday's, as it's turning into the recovery day. A short, short-course practice in the middle of the day.
IM set this week. It offers many chances for the swimmer to work on IM transition turns and for the coach to give feedback on how the swimmer is doing with those turns.
This set offers many chances to work on important aspects of the open turn: a legal touch (of course!); eyes down and arms extended at the touch; elbow back; fall back with the body; point the toes during the tuck. Watching the turn section of Eric Shanteau's video for 10 minutes prior to getting in the pool will give you tons of technique tips and visual images to take into your practice.
IM set this week. Actually, it's a FRIM set but you can do IM if you want to kick it up a notch.
IM set this week, with plenty of chances to work on butterfly arm recovery, back/breast transition turns.
On the road shooting more video, we got Eric Shanteau to do a quick demonstration of a back-to-breast crossover turn. Much more to come on his upcoming DVD.
This week's set starts out mellow, then gets serious at the halfway point.
The twist on this IM set is that you're using a different piece of equipment (or no equipment) on every swim. This should take your mind off the fact that you're doing 500 yards/meters of butterfly.
IM set this week to work off some of the pie dough and whipped cream.
Find a swim buddy who's about your speed to help push you through this IM set.
Not too tough, but a fun IM practice that allows you to focus on proper technique with lots of rest.
We are a group of swimmers who swim really fast, and like to help others learn how to reach their competitive potential in the area of professional swimming.
