Swimming backstroke in the Endless Pool provides a unique perspective for the swimmer.

While maintaining a stable head position, the swimmer is able to check his rotation, hand entry, hip rotation and catch.

As we speed up the water, it’s important that the swimmer pay particular attention to the position he is in while under the mirror.  When the speed changes, he’ll pick up the pace and potentially overswim the water speed.  That is, until we really crank it up.

Care has to be taken in this position so that the swimmer doesn’t hit his fingers on the grab bar out front.
