My head position.  I like to look…where am I going to get in the water.  I do try to keep my hips high in order to have the 90-degree angle that I talked about on my knee.  

At the moment that I start, the first motion that I do with my head is to look to the flags.  I make an arc with my back…project my body to go up a little bit, and then I face down and look where I’m going to get in.

While we typically teach a lower head position, learning from these great swimmers keeps us open to ideas and the individualization of what makes each swimmer different.
