Glenn discusses how he uses the Endless Pool to illustrate how to use the water to help set up the catch in freestyle and breaststroke.

While this technique isn't perfect for everyone (nothing is), for many athletes to learn to avoid injury, become more efficient, or, as the title states, want to learn how to work with the water, this is fun.

Understanding how the water works, either the body moving into still water, or like in the Endless Pool, the water coming at you, can help you identify where you apply force, and when you apply force.  Understanding this can also help you avoid the common overuse injuries that come with the sport.
