When starting to think about building a butterfly stroke, first, we have to understand that it starts with the body. You'll notice how stable the head is, but that the body, the chest, hips, the legs all flow by starting on your back. You don't have to worry about breathing.

And if you don't have a good dolphin kick. We encourage you to use fins. The idea here is to keep the head stable and initiate the flow of the body, starting with a slight upward press of the chest as the chest presses up.

As the hips fall, the knees go up. As the knees go up, the feet go down.

Imagine a flowing line starting from the chest through the hips, knees and feet. When you have the fins on, relax, don't try to kick with the fins, allowed the fins to just naturally follow the body and the extra surface area will propel you down the pool. Keep your hands relaxed and down by your side.
