In order to start to set up the timing of butterfly, we're going to start with a mini pull. Very small and only like a breaststroke pull, not a full butterfly pull yet.

So as the chest presses in, the hands sweep out and give a quick sweep back around to front and land directly in front of the shoulders. So back to position eleven.

Make sure you don't breathe every stroke on this or take a mini pull on every stroke, you'll know that you'll have time to setup this press of the chest with the out sweep of the hands.

You'll see that even our great swimmer here has the hands land probably a little bit too deep. I'd prefer that his hands go straight forward and the chest lands below the hands. So we're going to have to work with him on that and post another video right there.

He does a better job. You see how the hand's landed just above the chest.

That's what we're aiming for.
