**The Problem:  Getting Stuck at the Back**
When a swimmer gets stuck at the back of the pull, it’s usually because they’re trying too hard to finish their stroke.  They push too hard and they push straight back, causing the arms to get “stuck.”
 
You need to round out the exit and flow forward with your recovery.
 
**The Fix**
The fix for getting stuck at the back is to go back to the angel position, like this, and start your recovery with the hands away from the legs.
 
Also, you can try this scull. See how she sculls out and away from her legs. This is the feeling that you want to have as the hands exit the water.
 
You need to release the pressure on your hands and sweep them out and around as they pass by your thighs.
 
As the hands leave the water, the pinky fingers should lead, and the palms should be facing back.
