**Haufler Top Freestyle Drill #5:  6-Count Switch**

This swimmer is doing a 6-Count Switch Drill with Breathing.

Before adding breathing to this drill, make sure the swimmer understands how to kick in a side-glide position and then how to initiate the switch. It’s best if the swimmer starts the recovery first, and brings the elbow or arm opposite the shoulder before starting the pull. 

When adding breathing, the swimmer should take the breath after the switch, turning the head to the opposite side of the entering arm…like this.
