Building on Step 2, the swimmer now takes off the fins.
With the fins off, the swimmer can now add more power and quickness to the kick.
1 - Have the swimmer start in the extended side kick position.
2 - Have her feel the hand in the proper extended position and start to switch from one extended arm to the other.
3 - Focus on the hand dropping into the catch position with a high elbow.
4 - As she continues down the pool, and gains more understanding of the process, have her start to increase the tempo of the stroke to a regular stroke tempo.
Step 4 will move the swimmer forward to a faster tempo.
