Grasp one handle in your right hand with thumb pointed up.  Grasp the other handle in your left hand, also with thumb up, and hold the top of your left hand against the small of your back.  Stand with your left side facing the attachment, with feet shoulder-width apart.  Stand far enough away from the attachment so that when your right elbow is tucked into your side, with the knuckles of the right hand pointing toward the attachment, the right cord is straight but carries little or no tension.  
 
While maintaining stable and good posture, and while keeping the right elbow tucked into the side, sweep the right hand across the torso until the knuckles are pointing AWAY from the attachment.  The right arm and forearm should form approximately a 90-degree angle at the elbow.  Return the hand SLOWLY to the starting point, keeping the elbow tucked into your side.  

Keep your motions smooth and controlled as you move the hand across your body AND as you return it to the starting position.  Turn around and switch handle positions to work the opposite side.
