When climbing out of the pool using the ladder, slow, steady and secure should be the mantra.

With your hands securely on the side of the pool, gently find the ledge, or step with your foot.

Prior to starting to climb up the ladder, move one hand from the side to the handle of the ladder.  Then, as you start to climb, move both hands onto the handles.  Pull yourself up and forward as your feet continue to climb.  Don’t let go of the handles until you’re walking away from the pool.

Again, both hands on the side while the feet find the steps.  Transfer both hands to the handles as you start to climb up the ladder.  Don’t let go of the ladder until both feet are on the pool deck and you’re walking away from the water.
