Reverse catch up backstroke is another fairly advanced drill. It's going to require a very good kick. So both of these swimmers are confident enough that they're able to do this without fins. But if you do want to try it, we suggest that you use fins to get yourself started. 

As you can see, one arm is going to be held vertically right above the shoulder while the other arm rotates into the catch and the pull. And then, as it meets the top arm, you simply alternate arms. 

This drill is to work on body stabilization, some rotation, but mostly to really work on that kick. You do have to get enough rotation with the catch and the pulling arm to make sure that the hand stays under the surface of the water to repeat. 

You can see how much work his legs are doing in order to hold him in this good body line. So this is a little bit more of an advanced drill, but something that can be fun to try.
