Continuing on building a rhythm to breathing and butterfly. We're going to simply reduce the number of kicks in between the breaths.

The last lesson we took three kicks, her body dolphins and then released to air. This time we're only going to take two dolphin kicks and then lift and release the head to air.

You can see that our athlete starts with no fins and no use of the hands.  Driving the hands forward, keeping them shallow each time. To make it a little easier, she adds some fins. This will give her a little bit more push, make it a little easier for her to continue this exercise.

She does a great job of keeping her hands directly in front of her. And she's good at this. So she doesn't have to use the hands in order to lift herself up as leverage.

Finally, the third way to do this in using the hands with the mini pull to help you get up to air. This is using fins and a little bit of a pull on every second kick in order to help you lift up to get air.

Remember, this is a rhythm drill. So we start with the three kicks down to the two kicks.  And you can probably guess where we're going from here.
