For the final section of the video I’ll just swim…and you can watch how all the parts come together to create speed. I’ll start slow and build to race pace. Try to pick out the things we focused on.

Am I streamlined when I start and finish every stroke?

Do I pull my hips forward?

Do I hide my feet and kick butt?

Do I finish every kick?

Are my arms skinny in front?

And do I send my energy forward rather than down?

Try to pick out the things I’m doing right…or try to find the things that I could do even better.

Breaststroke is a very technical stroke, and I work constantly to perfect all the different parts. I do distance training and hard training for sure, but always with focus, and always in search of the technique that will make me faster.
